The Hawk Walk at Invereck House is a private two-hour experience designed to immerse guests in the ancient partnership between humans and birds of prey, set within the beautiful landscape overlooking the Holy Loch.
The experience begins inside one of Invereck’s elegant Victorian rooms, where guests are welcomed with tea and coffee. Here, participants enjoy a relaxed introduction to the world of falconry — exploring the history of the sport, the role of birds of prey in culture, and the unique landscape surrounding Invereck where the birds are flown.
After this introduction, guests move out into the estate woodland and grounds where the real experience begins.
Working together as a small team, participants will walk through the estate with the hawks flying freely through the trees. The birds will follow the group, gliding between branches and returning to the glove for food as a reward for their work. Guests will have the opportunity to call the hawk to their glove, experiencing first-hand the trust and connection that lies at the heart of falconry.
Throughout the walk there will be opportunities for photographs in the estate grounds, including moments where guests can hold the bird of prey on the glove — a memorable highlight of the experience.
These sessions are highly bespoke and intentionally intimate, designed for a maximum of four participants to ensure a calm and personal experience for both guests and birds.
Participants should wear good outdoor footwear and appropriate clothing suitable for woodland walking and Scottish weather conditions.
